Why Byline exists.

Most AI content tools read the same because they are built the same way: a prompt, a burst of prose, and a statistic nobody checked. Byline holds every article to an editorial standard before your name goes on it, and a figure it cannot stand behind does not reach your site.

The Problem With Most AI Content

§ 01 · What Byline Actually Is

Ask most AI content tools for an article and you get nine hundred generic words in under a minute. Nobody checked whether the number it just wrote down is real, and nobody asked whether the piece is any good before handing it to you. You are the quality control, every single time, and that work does not go away just because the drafting did.

Byline is built to remove that step rather than automate around it. An article has to clear a standard you set before it is allowed to publish, and a figure that cannot be traced to a real source does not survive to publication. What you get is a piece you can put your name on without reading it twice.

The Editorial Standard

§ 02 · What Never Ships
Rule 01
Nothing prints below the bar
Every article has to clear the quality bar you set before it can publish. One that falls short is held for a person rather than shipped anyway.
Rule 02
No figure without a source
A statistic earns its place in an article only if it can be traced to the page it cites. One that cannot be traced never reaches your site, rather than being caught by a reader after the fact.
Rule 03
Never links a competitor
Any domain that has ranked for one of your keywords is excluded from linking across your whole account, not just from the article about that particular keyword.
Rule 04
Updates in place
Publishing again to a page Byline already wrote updates that same page. It does not leave a duplicate behind for you to notice and clean up later.

How It Runs

§ 03 · Autonomous or Approved

You choose how much say you want, per site, and can change your mind at any time.

Option one
Fully autonomous

Byline writes and publishes to your CMS on its own, on whatever cadence you set. You check in when you want to, not because anything is waiting on you.

Option two
Held for your approval

Every finished article waits in a queue until you read it and approve or reject it yourself. Nothing reaches your site without your say, on that site, on every run.

Who's Behind It

§ 04 · The Byline

Byline is built by one person, working alone. There is no support team behind the address below, just the person who built it. If Byline gets a figure wrong, publishes to the wrong place, or just annoys you, this reaches the person who can fix it, not a ticket queue.
