Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Byline ("the Service"), operated by Usama Moin, a sole proprietor based in Pakistan. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The Service
Byline researches keywords, generates written content, and optionally publishes it to a content management system you connect. You direct what is produced; you are responsible for reviewing it before it is published under your name.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including that of team members you invite.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Your content and who owns it
You own the output. Articles, briefs and other material the Service generates for you are yours, including after you cancel. We claim no licence to publish, resell or train on your content or your site data.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the Service: to process your inputs, connect to services you authorise, and store output on your behalf.
4. Content generated by AI, and what that means
Output is produced by automated systems and is not guaranteed to be accurate, original or suitable for publication without review. The Service verifies that a statistic appears on the source it cites before using it, and refuses to publish a figure it cannot confirm. That is a meaningful check and it is not a guarantee of truth.
You are the publisher. Review content before it goes live. We are not liable for anything published from your account, including claims that turn out to be wrong, or for search engine rankings, traffic or revenue.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- produce content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights;
- impersonate a person or organisation, or misrepresent the origin of content;
- generate material designed to deceive, including fabricated news or false claims about people;
- publish to sites you do not own or have permission to publish to;
- resell raw Service access, or circumvent plan limits.
We may suspend an account that does these things, with notice where practical.
6. Plans, billing and changes
- Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
- Plan limits are enforced by stopping generation at the limit, not by billing overage.
- Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record, handles sales tax, and appears on your statement.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions keep their price until the next renewal after that notice.
Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
7. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties for search data, language models and publishing. Their availability is outside our control, and an outage on their side can interrupt generation. Connecting your CMS means granting us the access that connection allows; you can revoke it at any time.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Service running and do not promise uninterrupted availability. There is no uptime SLA on self-serve plans.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost traffic or lost rankings.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate for breach of these terms, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice and a pro-rata refund of any prepaid period.
You can export your content before closing your account. We delete account data after 30 days.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on the account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
13. Contact
