A figure that cannot be traced does not publish
Most AI writing tools will hand you a statistic and no way to check it. Here is the standard we hold to instead, and what it costs.
Ask any language model to write about customer churn and it will give you a number. Something confident, something round, something that sounds like it came from a report. Ask it which report and the answer falls apart. The number was never looked up. It was produced, the way the rest of the sentence was produced, because a number belonged in that position.
That is the failure this product is built around. Not tone, not grammar, not whether the writing sounds human. A published article carries your name, and the first reader who checks a statistic and finds nothing behind it has learned something about your whole site.
The standard
If a figure appears in one of our articles as a fact about the world, it came from a real page, and that page says it. That is the whole commitment. It is deliberately narrow, and it is the kind of claim you can test: follow a citation and see whether it says what the sentence said it does.
An article that cannot meet that bar does not go out. It gets held for a person instead.
What we do not claim
We do not claim every sentence is verified. Definitions, worked examples and the writer's own reasoning are not sourced, because there is nothing to source them to, and demanding a citation for arithmetic produces exactly the fake citations this is meant to prevent.
The part that is uncomfortable
This makes articles occasionally shorter. Asked for nine hundred words on a topic where only four real figures exist, a model will pad, and padding is the first thing our standard rejects. So sometimes the honest version of a section is thinner than the version that would read more impressively.
We took that trade deliberately. An article with four checkable numbers is worth more than one with twelve that dissolve on contact.
Where the control sits
The bar is yours. The default is 85 out of 100, and you can raise it. You can also turn auto publish off entirely, in which case every article waits for you to approve or reject it before it reaches your site.
Autonomy is the point of the product. Being unable to take it back is not.
